It all began with a special challenge from one of the biggest retail players in Romania (eMag), which released a video campaign about how, for Christmas, you should give a present, no matter what it is.

KooKoo Grocery wanted to say something else. That you don’t have to make presents for the sake of it. It’s better to be present than give presents.

So, I wrote the script (and acted in it) for this campaign, which gained a lot of organic social media traction. The campaign encouraged people to stop buying stuff as an excuse for the time they are not spending together.
